We are pleased to inform servers featuring the new 2nd Gen Intel Xeon Scalable processors (formerly codenamed Cascade Lake) are now shipping in regular production volumes. Combined with NVIDIA Tesla V100 and T4 GPUs these servers are perfectly suited for the most demanding Deep Learning and AI (artificial intelligence) applications.
Our customers have embraced Intel based servers that fully leverage the performance advantages of the new 2nd Gen Intel Xeon Scalable processors and accompanying new innovations including Intel Optane DC persistent memory, increased memory capacity and affordability and Intel Deep Learning Boost to enable more efficient AI acceleration.
Most recently we have shipped 2nd Gen Intel Xeon Scalable processors based servers to a major telecom company featuring two 2nd Gen Intel Scalable Xeon 6242 16 core processors and four NVIDIA Tesla V100 32GB PCI-e GPUs to enable a unique combination of high performance CPU and GPU solution. These servers are being used for 3D EM (Electromagnetic) Simulations. Our customers are also increasingly using NVIDIA Tesla T4 16GB GPUs with 2nd Gen Intel Scalable Xeon processors for AI inference applications.
