Supermicro’s 4U rackmount form-factor servers come in a broad range of configuration : from single socket fixed drive systems to dual and quad socket redundant systems, these are space saving servers designed for highest performance per rack space unit and are ready to function as application-optimized server, workstation, blade, storage and GPU-optimized systems.

Designed for optimal performance, the single and dual-processor SuperServers support Intel® Xeon® Scalable processors, Xeon® processor E5-2600 V4 or E5-2600 v3 family in a high-density 4U form-factor. These Supermicro servers come in 8-bay, 16-bay, 24-bay, 45-bay, 60-bay and 90-bay drive configurations and offer huge amount of storage capacity. These SuperServers are ideal for web server applications, firewall, DNS, security appliance servers, network infrastructure, front-end enterprise, and minimal-downtime cluster server systems and optimized for next generation use cases in Internet of Things (IoT), Big Data, Analytics, Artificial Intelligence (AI), Deep Learning, Machine Learning, Video Processing, Data Center, HPC and Cloud deployments.

Supermicro’s 4U servers cover a wide range of applications. For example, the dual-processor SuperServer 7048 series and the uni-processor SuperServer 5048 series support the QPI (9.6 GT/s) format Xeon® E5-2600 v4/v3 Family processors in a high-density 4U form-factor. The 7048 SuperServer have excellent expansion capability and feature set while 5048 SuperServer is optimized as storage powerhouse. The 4028GR-TR/TRT/TRXT and 4028GR-TVRT are GPU optimized servers with NVIDIA Tesla V100/P100/P40/P4/K80 support.

The Supermicro FatTwin is available in high-density 8 / 4 / 2 hot-plug system node configurations with a choice of memory capacities, hard disk drives, power supplies, front or rear I/O, PCI and networking options and more. Its high efficiency, highly effective shared cooling architecture allows the FatTwin to operate in high-temperature, free-air cooled environments up to 47°C, providing considerable cost savings and improved TCO. Versatile configurations allow the FatTwin to be optimized for many different environments including Data Center, Cloud Computing, and HPC; Engineering, Research, and GPU projects; File and Storage Server deployments; and General Server and Enterprise Server applications.
