Description
Supermicro Embedded Systems Featuring Intel Atom® C2000 Series Processor
Based on the low-power Silvermont microarchitecture, Intel Atom® C2000 family extends the scalability of Intel® architecture into smaller footprints, dense communications, and intelligent systems applications. This product family offers a range of multi-core processing capabilities (from two cores to eight cores) and features high levels of I/O and acceleration integration, resulting in a scalable, single-chip system-on-chip (SoC). Based on the 22-nanometer process technology with 3D tri-gate transistors, the product family provides optimal performance per watt, addressing the needs of thermally constrained solutions, such as entry to midrange branch office routers, security appliances, network access, communications servers, small cells, control plane processing, and storage. When paired with the Intel® Data Plane Development Kit (Intel® DPDK), this platform improves packet processing speeds to handle increased network traffic data rates and associated control and signaling infrastructure requirements.

Server Systems Management
Supermicro Server Manager (SSM) provides capabilities to monitor the health of server components including memory, hard drives and RAID controllers. It enables the datacenter administrator to monitor and manage power usage across all Supermicro servers allowing users to maximize their CPU payload while mitigating the risk of tripped circuit. Firmware upgrades on Supermicro servers became easier now with a couple of clicks. Administrators can now mount an ISO image on multiple servers and reboot the servers with those images. The tool also provides pre-defined reports and many more features that will make managing Supermicro servers simpler.
