This server comes with Supermicro’s record-setting Hyper-Speed technology with the evolutionary Ultra system architecture, providing unparalleled flexibility, scalability, manageability, and serviceability. In a dense 1U form factor, Hyper-Speed Ultra provides 4 Add-On Cards with GPU/FPGA support, while still being able to achieve 165W CPU support, and is targeted to Low-Latency Trading and High-Frequency Trading applications. Low Latency ExaNIC X2
Exablaze’s ExaNIC is an ultra low latency network interface card which delivers the lowest latency in the industry: under a microsecond application to application for small Ethernet frames (using the native API) and approximately 1.1 microseconds for small TCP and UDP payloads (using the transparent socket acceleration library). The ExaNIC X2 also has built in bridging functionality which allows it to function as a miniature switch, avoiding the extra latency of a switch in some common use cases. Additionally, with hardware–based time stamping of every packet to 6 nanoseconds resolution, users can rethink their approach to measurement and latency management.
Server Systems Management
Supermicro Server Manager (SSM) provides capabilities to monitor the health of server components including memory, hard drives and RAID controllers. It enables the datacenter administrator to monitor and manage power usage across all Supermicro servers allowing users to maximize their CPU payload while mitigating the risk of tripped circuit. Firmware upgrades on Supermicro servers became easier now with a couple of clicks. Administrators can now mount an ISO image on multiple servers and reboot the servers with those images. The tool also provides pre-defined reports and many more features that will make managing Supermicro servers simpler.
